Why Evangelism?

What says the word of God?

That God has desires for every human being, namely...

That no soul gets lost, but will be contained till eternity (John 3:16)

That people will be saved from their sin and won't be slaves to people by knowing Jesus Christ
(John 4:12; Rom 6:14; Galatians 5:13; 1 Cor 7:23).

And that people will then live by God's grace [no dead works] and truly experience freedom (John 8:36; Rom 5:21)

God wants to fill us with these desires so that we will experience passion and fire in ourselves to reach out to people around us who do still not know God.

Evangelism is important in this context because of the fact that..

People need to hear the good news so that they are able to believe (Rom 10:14)

God gives even more reasons why evangelism is important from His view..

When someone is saved it gives Him and the body of Christ joy (Luke 15:7)
So that He will be honored when we honor Him (2 Korinthians 5:20)
So that in our persecutions (by what people are doing to us) we can be happy (1 Peter 4:12-16)
The harvest is great but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-28).

God has given us the assignment to reach out to people around us..

Go into the world and preach the gospel (Marc 16:15)
Go into the world and make disciples (Matthew 28:19)
Heal the sick, cleanse the lapers, raise the dead, drive out demons. For nothing you received, for nothing you give (Matthew 10:8).
Therefore let your light shine for all people (Matthew 5:15)
